Palindromic number on the Odometer

Too bad, the number on the picture is not a palindromic number.

Suppose the odometer of your car shows a palindromic number, say, 15, 951. And exactly two hours later, the odometer shows a new palindromic number.

What was the average speed of the car in those two hours?

1 comment:

  1. The next Palindromic number would be 16061 a difference of 110 miles in 2 hours is an average speed of 55 mph.

However, if it was a super car it could have reached the next palindrome after that at 16161
or 210 miles in 2 hours at an average speed of 105 mph.

    Paul.
