The smallest square number such that...

Find the smallest exact square with last digit not 0, such that after deleting its last two digits we shall obtain another exact square

  3. confused; it says deleting its last two digits; e.g., 121 would prune the 21 leaving 1;

    if deleting just last digit, then answer would be 16;

    hope I'm not reading wrong - enjoy the problems on this site;

  4. The problem as stated is not very interesting. Something should be added to produce a more interesting problem.
